Question 1
What is the position of member companies on providing physicians with free product for their own personal usage? I am not referring here to samples, but trade size.
It has been an accepted way of doing business in the past, but with the definition of section 7a (gifts), my opinion this would contravene the Code.
We are in the process of redefining some internal policies and this is one that we are looking at.

Response:
This issue is currently under review with the code committee. At the present time the committee realizes that many member companies utilize this policy as an extension of sample policy.
