Code of Conduct - Question & Answers

5. Convention/Clinic Displays - January 2005

Question 1:
I am looking for guidance on what we can display at a forum with health care practitioners, health professionals, and parents of patients in attendance. The Rx&D Code is a little unclear and only emphasizes that the information should be consistent with Monograph etc.

Response:
When considering the material that may be placed on display, you need to look at the audience, at the same time keeping the PAAB/TPD guidelines in mind. In this case as there will non health care professionals in attendance, the material that can be displayed would be limited to that material that has specifically be designed and approved for use with patients i.e. patient educational brochures. No product visual aides may for example be placed on display.
