Code of Conduct - Question & Answers

4a. Continuing Health Education - May 2005

Question 1:
Is it acceptable to host a Demo Clinic, which will be used as an educational - value added service to pharmacists, at our upcoming Pharmacists Conference. This demo clinic essentially is a free risk assessment clinic that will help to screen patients (in this case, pharmacists) for disease x.
This demo clinic will be doing some tests and pharmacists will also receive a confidential reading of their results. We will not hand out anything specific to a company x product in reference to this clinic.

Response:
This Demo Clinic must comply Section 4A3. General Principles of the Code. As this demo is intended to enhance the well being of Canadians, and no form of product promotion will be utilized it causes no issue.

Revised: June 06, 2005
