Code of Conduct - Question & Answers

January 2005

Question 1:
We are a third party supplier to the pharma industry and will be managing logistics for a large product launch event next year. We would like to obviously ensure that we remain within Rx&D guidelines and I am writing to inquire if we provide a free shuttle bus service for
centrally located audience participants, is this permitted.

I understand that travel and accommodations for program faculty is allowed. Considering the event will take place at peak rush hour in the downtown Toronto core, the shuttle can pick them up at downtown offices/hospitals instead of having them drive and park.

Response:
The decision will depend on the definition of the “centrally located audience”.
[If the audience in question is members of the Advisory Board for the product in questions then this will meet the code. However if the audience refers to the general health professional population then this will not be in alignment with the Code.]
