• Each year, members of Canada's research-based pharmaceutical community invest about $1 billion on research and development in Canada. About $120 million of that investment goes to universities and hospitals.
   
• In Quebec, the Rx&D community invests over $450 million in research and development of which more than $30 million goes to universities and hospitals.
   
• In Ontario, we invest over $360 million in research and development, of which more than $50 million goes to universities and hospitals.
   
• This investment also helps health care professionals, universities and industry in their quest for innovation.
   
• Research makes us all better, and brings with it the hope of new treatments and cures.
